The other day I was out for lunch and realized that it was time to update ‘My shopping guide to Stockholm‘ with food places. So here you have my favorite places for breakfast and lunch on Södermalm.
And it goes without saying – all these places serve both meat and vegetarian food that are equally good.
Lima Deli
Small lunch place just next to Götgatan (on the same block as Sneakers n’stuff) with simple and delicious lunch. Open limited hours but that just makes it even better! Grab lunch for take away and sit in the nearby parks Vita bergen or Rosenlundsparken.

Katarina Ölkafé
Just as the name tells, it’s a beer café. Craftbeer from Stockholm and simple snacks and food. Great for a beer on the way to the park (I go here after visiting the dog park) or just when you want to enjoy the local atmosphere of hipsterhood. Dogs allowed!

Pom & Flora
A very nice and cozy café great for breakfast. Check out their instagram feed and I promise you’ll get hungry!

Il Café
A classic café that has been around for years (used to study . Expanded several times and now also includes bakery Fabrique (which means great cinnamon bums!). During the weeks a bit boring since so many use this spot for laptop + coffee = work space, but during weekend great for late breakfast. Sit outside and look at hipster families on their Sunday walk. Dogs allowed!

Kalf & Hansen
My new favorite lunch place with ‘Eco friendly Nordic fast food according to season’ as they call it. Popular during lunch hours but worth waiting for.

Steam
Fresh and ambitious dumpling place. Great for take away or eat in. Love to visit them during a chilly Summer day and enjoy a quick lunch.
